Whether you’re a broke college student in need of textbook torrents or just looking for a little reading material, an ebook torrent is a solid option.
But when your favorite tracker doesn’t have the title you’re looking for, you might be left wondering “What’s the best torrent site for books?”
Well, don’t worry, because we’ve done the research for you. Keep reading for our most recommended ebook torrent sites.
Note: Not all of these are literally torrent sites. Some offer direct downloads, which are faster and more secure.

Top eBook Torrent Sites
Keep in mind that, while we called this list the best "torrent sites" for books, many of them are actually direct download sites. Why? Because they have the biggest libraries of books. As an added bonus, they're a bit safer than torrents, and don't require seeders!
Library Genesis
Many would argue that Library Genesis should be first on the list – and we can’t really disagree with them. It’s packed with millions of books, from the most popular to the most obscure, from romance novels to textbooks, with plenty of formats to choose from. Some domains go down at times, but there's always a few alternates available.
Anna's Archive

Don't get it twisted. Anna's Archive may be second on the list, but in many ways, it's just as good, if not better, than Library Genesis.
It has an absolutely massive library of files, in a variety genres, formats, and languages, including epub, mobi, azw3, and PDFs. In general, there are some advantage to LibGen over Anna's Archive and vice versa.
For instance, Anna's Archive tends to have slightly more fiction books and novels. But really, they're essentially 1A and 1B of the ebook world, even if you prefer one over the other.
Z-Library
Formerly known as Bookkzz.org, this site advertises itself as “the world’s largest ebook library”. Is it true? Well, they did have massive database, which included books new and old in a variety of format, from mobi to PDF.
Unfortunately, they've struggled with staying online at times, with domains being taken down left and right. There are plenty of mirrors, but it's hard to tell which ones are legit. And the official mirrors now require you to create an account and log in.
Project Gutenberg
This is not a torrent site, but we thought it best to include it anyway. Project Gutenberg provides a massive collection of over 50,000+ public domain ebooks, all of them in multiple formats. “Public domain” books are titles that are old enough that their copyright (at least in the US) has expired, giving readers free access to everyone from Plato to Dostoyevsky.
AudioBook Bay
These days, audiobooks are almost as popular as actual books, and that means audiobook torrents are pretty popular too.
And though you can find audiobooks on general torrent sites like the (famous) one below, the AudioBook Bay is probably the best public torrent tracker for ebooks.
Just keep in mind that they're constantly switching domains as they get taken down, so try searching for "Audiobook Bay" in a search engine, like DuckDuckGo, if the link above doesn't work.
MyAnonaMouse (MAM)
If you can't find what you're looking for on Audiobook Bay, or you're just interested in accessing an even bigger collection, then MyAnonaMouse may be for you.
It's a private torrent tracker, which means you'll need an account to download, but MAM's invite process is more straightforward than most. You simply have to fill out the invite application and show up to an online (text-based) interview.
And if you're a book worm, it's worth it, since MAM has one of the biggest selections of book ebooks and audiobooks online.

MyAnonaMouse has a huge selection of books and a friendly community
Bibliotik (BiB)
Here's another private torrent site for books, and this one's arguably better than MyAnonamouse, with a wider selection and a request feature that allows you to ask people to upload books that you can't find.
Unfortunately, Bibliotik is also much tougher to get an invite to, has a less welcoming community, and stricter standards for maintaining your membership.
The Pirate Bay
The Pirate Bay is the biggest – and one of the oldest – torrent sites around. So, it’s no surprise that it’s also one of the best torrent sites for books, even though that format isn’t its main focus.
Note: Access to TPB is blocked in tons of countries. If you’re in a country that does, find out how to unblock TPB.
textbooknova.com (Textbook Nova)
Textbook Nova is a great resource for, you guessed it, textbooks.
forum.mobilism.org (Mobilism)
The forums over at mobilism can be a solid resource for ebook torrents and downloads.
Can’t Access One of the Above Sites?
Keep in mind that many of the above sites have gone through several domains – and will probably continue to do so. If one of the URLs above is down, there’s probably a mirror up somewhere.
Final Thoughts
There you have it. Torrent sites for all of your book needs ranging from novels, textbooks, magazines and even audio books.
Just remember to use a good VPN service when downloading, like PIA VPN. Doing so will keep your activities hidden and private whenever you access torrent book sites and download ebook torrents to your computer, tablet, smart phone or other devices.
