Positives of UsenetExpress
There’s plenty to like about UsenetExpress. For starters, their prices are very competitive compared to other Tier-1 providers and start at just $7.50/mo. That’s half the price of Giganews, considered the cadillac of Usenet providers.
But don’t let the price fool you: UsenetExpress still provides most of the features you’d expect from a Tier-1 Usenet service. In fact, their 140,000 newsgroups is more than their competitors, and they even allow posting to Usenet.

But, it’s not all good news.
Being a newer provider, UsenetExpress isn’t able to offer the huge retention rates of some of their competitors, with rates quoted at 1,100+ days retention (or 3,000+ days for text).

UsenetExpress now has EU news servers. 🙂 And they provide only US news servers, though they plan on adding European servers in the near future.
UsenetExpress accounts don’t come with a free newsreader, and while the included VPN is solid, it’s not as robust as some of the best VPN services on the market.
But perhaps the most noticeable negative about UsenetExpress is the lack of a free trial. However, they do offer a 30-day money back guarantee, so you can always get a refund if you try it and don’t like it.
